About Us
Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit us! We are Stuart and Steph, proud owners of Essex Bicycles the only family run, independent bike shop (now with two stores!) the flagship in Pitsea, and the second in Hadleigh, both in Essex. We love to meet new people, be in touch with our local community whilst also providing bike and wheel services across the country.
Combined we have over 40 years of retail experience, Stuart has been repairing and selling bicycles for over 20 years and is an expert in mechanics, sales, wheel building no matter what brand or make. Steph has over 10 years Buying experince with some major retailers and is often found working behind the scenes. After working for so long for other retailers, in July 2020 we decided to finally open our own bike shop which has been a lifelong dream, this is why you shall receive a warm welcome everytime, we are genuinely happy to be here and happy to help you with your bicycle needs.
Our Pitsea store is conveniently located at Station Lane in Pitsea and in easy reach whether you are travelling by car, train or cycling/walking, there is even free parking opposite our store.
Our Hadleigh store is conveniently located on London Road in Hadleigh and is easily accesible by car, bus or cycling/walking, there is free parking directly outside the store and a public carpark just round the corner in Rectory Road.
Customer service is at the very heart of our business and whether you're considering investing in a new bicycle or looking to repair your old set of wheels, we will always provide honest, professional advice, expert repairs and products.
